Privacy Policy

Short version: the app collects nothing and never connects to the internet. This page explains what little information we do handle, for the website and for purchases.
The app
- Motif Editor makes no network connections. It has no analytics, crash reporting, tracking or account.
- It talks only to the MIDI ports you choose, to exchange settings with your synthesizer and other instruments.
- Your presets, versions, backups, tags, notes and settings are stored on your Mac and never leave it unless you copy them somewhere yourself.
- Your license key is checked on your Mac, offline. The date your trial started is stored in your Mac's Keychain so the trial can be counted.
This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Purchases
When you buy a license, our payment processor handles your payment details; we never see your card. We receive your name and email address, and use them only to issue and send your license key, to answer support requests, and to keep records the law requires. We don't sell or share them, and we don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing robrackn@gmail.com. We keep purchase records only as long as needed for support and legal obligations.

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
